What do you guys/gals think about the 'Through Train Programme' which actually sees a student from secondary school going through to the JC without the O-level. This is pertinent for students who are clearly University bound and therefore there is no need to have an exam like the O-level to verify his/her eligibility.
What do you guys think about it? do you think this will affect the standards as students begin to move towards JC and finally to the uni without going through the traditional ways of doing their O's then JC and then the final steps.
Countries in the West have already started on such programme, but do you guys think about it for SG?
