Hope its okie if I ask another question.

This JawBreaker would be MySQL driven ? If so ah, how big's the database for now, say for Chit Chat with 100k posts.

Our old UBB takes up 720 MB.

The new database version takes up 44 MB.

Quoting now includes the entire post, like the above.
UBB only includes the contribution of the previous poster, excluding the quote portion in the post.

Is this the way quoting should be?

JawBreaker seems to be very, efficient compared to UBB in terms of database compression.

Ok, here's my experience.

I can only post when I am not login, ie there's the Name and Password column there for me to identify myself;

I can't when I've logged in coz there isn't any Name and Password column for me to identify myself. As a result, I get this:

Either your username was left blank or you cannot post as an unregistered user in this particular forum.

And I still can't view profiles as detailed in my previous post now that I have enable perm and session cookies for hardware-one.com by putting it in the trusted sites security clearance category.

I'll look into improving the quote features, thanks for the feedback.
For you login problem, pls check ur url when u login. Eg: if u login at
www.hardware-one.com.sg orwww.hw1.com.sg, and then u go to the forum, which shows up aswww.hardware-one, the cookies will not work as they been given to u with a different domain name.

The reason why u do not see a login/password form in posting/replying after u have logged in is because u have already logged in previously either thru the mainpage or the login link in the forum. There is no need for u to login again.

I am not too sure what went wrong for ur case, maybe u can tell me all the full urls that u used to login/post/read profile etc.

Wow... seems like now the setting of the "last time" you visit the forum is saved on HW1 instead of local as a cookie hor... Now I access the forum from SP it will still say the last time I visit the forum as the last time I visit it from home

The quoting anomaly is a small hiccup as posters can always edit the quote but to leave that to posters would be rather flaky coz I think not many would delete the double quote.

I do all login at www.hardware-one.com/forum/login.asp.

Yes, that is helpful, however it has prevented me from replying to posts. I have logout everytime I wish to post and it's really

Login done at www.hardware-one.com/forum/login.asp.

Profile at http://www.hardware-one.com/forum/profile.asp

Starting from all forums athttp://www.hardware-one.com/forum/board.asp

Posting at http://www.hardware-one.com/forum/list_forum.asp?forumid=chitchat

I'm using IE 5 version 5.00.3105.0106, Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Win32) on Win98SE.

Btw, would u like to center this message input box such that the icons above the box are evenly distributed?

And move the word Message to the top left of this message input box with (help) beneath it.

These are just suggestions aimed at improving the aesthetical aspect of JawBreaker. It's supposed to make people drop their jaws right?

Thank you, Skaven!

thanks to you too
you help me catch a bug, your password is too short, but is not the main cause of your previous problem.
