Whenever I post a reply, Then if i want to edit it on the spot, i hit backspace, it goes back one page in IE instead.(This happens sometimes)
as a result, everything I typed is gone.

As i have explained b4 in another thread, this is due to the session management of PHP which forces a refresh.
