A question for a friend

Sending Mail
I have this situation:

a friend of mine has a laptop with outlook express and he has a dialup account with Singnet.

So his pop server setting isop.singnet.com.sg
and his smtp server setting is: mail.singnet.com.sg

Dialup to Singnet in Singapore no problem...can receive and send mail from outlook express

He flies to Germany without global roaming and signs up with the isp there.

He dials in and his outlook can receive mail but cannot send mail cos singnet smtp server if I am not wrong does not allow unauthorised relaying(or maybe they restrict by IP? I dunno).

Suggested he use the smtp server of his isp over there but he tells me that they do not have any smtp server(???)

He does not want to use webmail cos he needs to be online to type and send mail(also wants to keep it in his sent folder).

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Try this page:

http://technical.singnet.com.sg/emails/win95/outlookexpress/

Change the outgoing mail server to roaming.singnet.com.sg
