Acer's Travelmate 340T: The Masses' Sub-Notebook
Too Sexy To Resist...
During my recent trip to Garmisch (near Munich), fellow buddy Wilfred was so kind to loan me his sleek and portable Acer Travelmate 330T ( reviewed previously ). This was in anticipation of the numerous digital camera pics I would snap in beautiful Bavaria, and my 4 Smartmedia cards simply would not suffice. As expected, the little sub-notebook proved more than adequate in rendering storage for my 200+ scenic shots. However, its usefulness and accompaniment during my lonely night stays in the hotel (okay, I don't party that much...) instilled a strange bond within me with notebooks per se.
My first sub-notebook love...
Thus, following the return of that magnesium-cased box to Wilfred, it was only natural for me to purchase one for my own office and on the road usage. With that, I began my ardent search for my portable soul mate to pass those long, dreary trips back home on the Mass Rapid Transit (train) system.
