ABIT BX6 2.0 Motherboard - Part 7

Conclusion
Summing up everything mentioned above we may strongly recommend ABIT BX6 Rev 2.0 for all overclockers. However, we wouldn’t advise you to use it instead of your old i440BX motherboard because all the advantages of BX6 Rev 2.0 are evolutionary and only serve to better/simplify the overclocking experience. Another point to remember is that the ASUS P2B Rev 1.10 should be better for Celeron overclocking due to its flexibility of FSB fine tuning in the 100Mhz domain.

Advantages:

  • Highest performance
  • Good overclocking opportunities - processor core voltage control and a wide range of FSB frequencies
  • Data Buffer for simultaneous working of 4 DIMM slots
  • Possible manual assignment of all IRQs to individual PCI slots

Disadvantages:

  • Inconvenient location of the power supply connector
