Initial Impression
Well, I did have a glimpse of what I was getting myself into, whilst at the shop. With no game bundle and utilizing a reference board looking design that features only a standard 15pin VGA output, I guessed Creative’s strategy to be the first launch customer was fulfilled but at the expense of any extras. Rumours abound that Creative will be coming out with other 'variations' with extra icings.

In terms of design, I believe it simply follows a standard reference one. Just like its TNT2 predecessor, it also comes with an inbuilt cooling fan + heatsink combo (rated at 12V / 0.06A), but possessing a slightly wider surface area for increased heat dissipation. It is good to know that the fan doesn’t intrude into the adjacent PCI slot.  However, knowing my inanely curious nature, I may opt to plug in a larger heatsink/fan combo if I’m not satisfied with the overclocking results ;P

First let’s see the highlights of the Creative GeForce 256 board features (taken straight off the manual):
