As one can see, the DDR inclusion doesn’t do much for this benchmark as it tests mainly the CPU core processing power…

Dagoth Moor Zoological Gardens v1.00 Benchmark
(loaned from Creative); Run at 1024x768/32bit; Ensured V-Synch was OFF in Blaster Control Applet

Here, I believe that the Dagoth Moor Zoological Gardens benchmark is truly a representation of how future games would run. The amount of textures and detail on this demo is amazing! In addition, it has also been written to make use of the GeForce’s transform and lighting (T&L) acceleration in hardware. Even at its default rate, the GeForce Pro still performed decently and rendered a respectable frame-rate of 42 fps.

Well, hope those benchmarks are enough to satiate your curiosity.  Nonetheless, it is undoubtedly obvious that the GeForce Pro beats the current competition hands-down in 32bit Hi-res. However, it should be noted that the DDR benefits seem to be skewed towards the 32bit/1024x768 and higher resolution, where overclocking both the core / DDR mem also offers more practical gains. However, if you’re considering gaming at the most demanding 32bit resolutions (say, 1280x1024/32bit) and had the impression that the GeForce Pro can deliver, I suggest your hopes are slightly ambitious. Invariably, the GeForce Pro is still the fastest graphics card in the PC market today, but those are really “insane” 32bit resolutions for even it to implement smooth, playable frame-rates.

‘Nuff said! I want one now!!
