You always wanted to backup all those MP3s
of yours. You thought of getting a tape backup, but it just ain't too feasible for a
normal home user. You wanted to get one of those Iomega Jaz drives, but the cartridges are
just too expensive.
Data stored in CDs
can last for many years, much longer than in magnetic tapes where you can see mushrooms
growing in a couple of years down the road.
Now probably the cheapest solution is to use
a CD writer. A blank CD-R cost less than $2 and they can store a whopping 650 MB of data.
A CD writer is more practical. Beside being able to backup your data, you can also burn
your favorite audio CDs as well as other programs. Also, data stored in CDs can last for
many years, much longer than in magnetic tapes where you can see mushrooms growing in a
couple of years down the road.

program which allows scheduled backups of crucial, selected data from one drive to a CD-R
or CD-RW disk. This software is perfect for unattended backups, backup over network
