Palm IIIx & Palm V Overclocking
I've had tremendous success overclocking the Palm IIIx. In
fact, with StreakHack running, you would get the fastest Palm
on a IIIx and NOT the Palm V. Both processors could do the
"FASTEST" 29Mhz setting without any problems. Here's
the benchmark numbers of the normal and absolute fastest
speeds...

Wow! Look at the
speeds achieved! Running absolutely stable at 29Mhz, my
friends run their fast gadgets faster! Also, it was noticed that when the Palm IIIx was clocked faster,
the screen flicker problem, introduced by OS 3.1.1
update, was reduced significantly.
A point to note
is that hacks were running when I benchmarked, but I concluded that it was NOT of grave importance. The
improvements were significant enough that I'm not worried
about a few percentage points of performance degradation (if
any) brought about by the hacks.
